Death is something that everyone has hanging over their heads at all times. Whether we are consciously aware of it or not, it is there. It adds meaning to actions as time is finite. Life is more precious as a result. However, for some reason in the western world, we do not talk about it as much as perhaps we should. There is no point in hiding from it; it will find all of us eventually.
Virtual reality, VR as it is commonly called, has added a new dimension to our lives; creating new worlds and sensations. It has such a wonderful effect that it is now being used in hospices around the world. It seems patients absolutely love the virtual reality experience and what it can offer them. It is providing a powerful and moving experience by giving the user an opportunity to see new and amazing places and things around the world. This has the ability to make life in hospice more bearable by taking the patients mind off of the fact that death is imminent.
